Roots of Nature
This is seriously one of my favorite collections and my first LookBook project! I chose to make the Barton Park Quilt by Sara Lucille Handmade. I took the quilt on a fun fall trip to the mountains of East TN for the photo shoot.
Listen to Your Heart
Another favorite Collection! Honestly, Sharon Holland speaks my love language when it comes to fabric design and color palate! I had so much fun making these little fabric yo-yo’s into a runner. It just kept growing and growing! It can now double as a dining room table runner or a bed runner!
Gayle Loraine
This was my biggest submission, as they chose every project I proposed. This was Elizabeth Chappel’s first fabric line and I was honored to get to play with it so much. I am honored as well to call her a friend! I have worked with her as a small group leader in her pattern writing course and all the projects I made for this collection are my patterns!!
Hazelwood
I do also love Bonnie Christine. I love how all her collections just feel like you are right outside in the middle of nature! If I could have a completely outdoor sewing studio, I would!! I enjoyed making these Lottie pillows from Penelope Handmade. They are still on my couch!
Honey Fusion
For Honey Fusion, I made so many pillows! And every one of them I added one of my favorite quilt embellishments… Chenille-It! If you haven’t tried it yet, you are truly missing out!
Mindscape & Seedling
Seedling has so many possibilities! It’s got the solids look with a hint of pattern! I was so glad when they decided to combine Seedling and Mindscape in one lookbook because it allowed me to truly combine them in my projects! I love Penelope Handmade patterns and I always love making bags! I really should do it more often!
Daisy & Storyteller Plaids
I actually used this collection for a pattern test I was doing for one of the 2023 AGF Sewcialties, my friend Abby or Abby Maed Studios. Printemps means spring in French, and this collection was just perfect. I added a cozy flannel plaid back that was just perfect!
Kindred
Oh my goodness, this has become a favorite fabric collection for me! I have wanted to make a West Hawk Quilt from The Blanket Statement for a while and this fabric was the perfect collection to use! With the pattern’s southwest feel, Spirited is another fabulous option, but these colors are perfect!
Spooky & Witchy
I love Halloween! And I love Halloween fabrics!! I have also loved that AGF has kept this collection going for 4 years now with little changes to each installment. I have made something with it every year! These placemats were so much fun. I have a tutorial up on my blog that walks you through how to make your own!
Wintertale
I also LOVE Christmas fabric! I have way too many Christmas quilts because of this, haha. For this project, I chose to make a table runner using my friend Victoria’s, of The Midlife Quilter, free pattern: Bejeweled Table Runner. I have actually made this runner multiple times and the small version is the perfect size for my table!
Duval
When I first learned that there was a whole quilting world on social media, Suzy Quilts was the first account I found! I was so excited to learn that there were all these other quilters in the world, all varying ages, and able to connect and form friendships! At the time, all my other friends that quilted were some where in age between my mom and grandma.
I have always had a love for Suzy and what she creates because she is so transparent, down to earth and real! I was so excited when she announced that she was coming out with a fabric collection with Art Gallery Fabrics!! And he pattern, Rocksteady was the perfect fit for Duval!!
#SewObsessed
#SewObsessed was such a fun collection to work with! When I first saw this collection, I saw a bright, fun, inviting quilting studio! I submitted a couple wall hangings and they asked me to make more! I think I ended up making 8 total wall hangings with this collection ranging in all different sizes and styles! I even designed my spool block wall hanging on the fly, along with two other basic star blocks. One pattern was from Art Gallery Fabrics and the small sewing machine was from the Sewing Machine Sampler 2023 hosted by Sweet Potato Quilts!
Juniper
Happy 1 year anniversary!! It’s been a whole year since my first AGF LookBook make!! And it is so funny that my first and last have been 2 of my favorite makes!!
This one however, is super special because it was a pattern I was working on and then the collection was released in a preview! Now, Sharon Holland is one of my all time favorite artists/designers and I fell in love with this collection and knew it was just truly meant to be. I mocked it up and then when submission time came….YAY, AGF loved it too!! So, not only has this been one of my favorite LookBook makes, but it has been one of my favorite patterns too!!
